Qualified Industrial Psychologist
“I have completed my Industrial Psychology Internship at PsySSA in March 2016.”
My journey at PsySSA started back in 2011, where I was a student volunteer at the PsySSA Congress and again at ICP 2012. In 2013, I registered as a student delegate and presented my research at the PsySSA Congress. In 2015, I joined the PsySSA team as an Industrial Psychology Intern.
My experience at PsySSA has been challenging and interesting, giving me exposure to a wide area of knowledge within Psychology. However, it was the late nights, weekend shifts, hard work, dedication and commitment which enabled me to complete my internship.
I would like to thank Ms Fatima Seedat for all the knowledge, values and skills that she imparted. Ms Seedat has been a great help and has provided me with support throughout my career. I believe my achievements and success is at least in part due to her sincere support and mentorship.
Ms Seedat always quotes- “It always seems impossible until its done” – Nelson Mandela. Today it is something that I live by, because I have come to realise that everything in life is possible as long as we believe in ourselves and our abilities. One should never lose sight of the end goal and should keep pushing beyond boundaries to achieve it.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to PsySSA for believing in me. I truly appreciate and value everything I have gained through my experience from PsySSA.
I would like to thank the PsySSA staff, Naziha Abbas and Patience Chikuni for all the encouragement, support and motivation throughout my internship, as well as Prof Sumaya Laher for her on-going support and guidance.
Congratulations from all at PsySSA. A special word of congratulations from those who have had the privilege to share part of this journey with you.
